Lesson 1
Opening, Organising and Importing
Launching Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Pro interface, using and setting up the import options, transcoding files, tapeless and tape capture, analysing and adding keywords, analysing and fixing audio, media storage.

Lesson 2
Organising The Project and The Event Library
Creating events, viewing options and grouping clips, organising media with keywords, smart collections, rating media, deleting media, transcoding media in the project.

Lesson 3
Building The Rough Cut
Using the skimmer and the playhead, creating a new project, marking a clip in the Event Browser, introduction to the magnetic timeline, drag and drop editing, insert edits, overwrite edits, append edits.

Lesson 4
Modifying The Rough Cut
Connect edits, using the replace edits, three point editing, adjusting clip timing, auditioning the clip.

Lesson 5
Trimming and Storylines
Using the replace edit, three point editing, trimming a clip in the storyline using the trimming tools, working with storylines, creating secondary storylines and compound clips.

Lesson 6
Working With Audio
Syncing audio with video, editing the soundtrack, working with music and audio files, adding markers, introduction to 5.1 surround sound, enhancing the soundtrack

Lesson 7
Transitions
Understanding transitions, project preferences for using transitions, applying transitions to the storyline, editing and modifying, using the inspector for transitions.

Lesson 8
Modifying The Video
Applying speed changes and retiming video, scaling, cropping, distorting images, keyframing images and applying animations.

Lesson 9
Adding Text and Generators
Adding text, animating text, using prebuilt text effects, adding generators, exploring the generator library.

Lesson 10
Themes and Effects
Adding themes and placeholders, applying pre built effects to video, applying pre built effects to audio, changing the parameters.

Lesson 11
Editing the Effects
Sending an effect to Motion, an introduction to the Motion interface, editing the effect and adding parameters, saving the effect in Motion, opening the new effect in Final Cut Pro

Lesson 12
Colour Correction
The principles of colour correction, auto balancing the colour, auto matching the colour, manually correcting colour, using colour and shape masks.

Lesson 13
Exporting
Exporting quicktime movies, publishing to Apple devices, publishing for Vimeo and Youtube, outputting to optical disc.

Lesson 14
Exporting Using Compressor
Sending to Compressor, exploring the Compressor interface, applying a setting an encoding, editing and saving the compressor settings, creating a droplet
